Historical Homes and Wonderful Old Houses
At Special "Finds…", we enjoy representing historic homes and properties. Our founder, Brenda Thompson, has herself, owned an 1885 farmhouse near Asheville, North Carolina and a 1910 stone gatehouse on the Hudson River in New York.
Virtually every antique and historical property is a Special "Find…". We appreciate each historical home's unique architectural features including rocking chair porches, tin roofs, heart of pine floors, hidden staircases, etc.
Some of the historic homes and properties found on our site are in original condition and may need renovation to turn them into showplaces. We feature partially and fully renovated historic homes and properties.
You'll also find antique tobacco barns turned into beautiful homes. Inside they often retain the beauty and feeling of old homes. You'll find shaded city streets with rows of turn of the century homes, each revived, one-by-one recreating a "new" turn of the century look.
